Welcome to AlpsDiscovery, a Swiss Vacation Homes rental platform. By accessing our website and using our services, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

General Terms & Conditions

  • 1. Who Can Use Our Website

  • Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use our services.

  • Account Creation: To book a vacation home, users may be required to create an account, providing accurate and up-to-date information.

  • 2. Key Commercial Terms

  • Rental Agreements: Specific rental terms, including pricing, duration, and other conditions, will be provided at the time of booking.

  • Reservation: Remains provisional until 100% of the total price is received. The balance must be paid no later than 21 days before arrival. Full payment is required for reservations made 8 weeks from the date of arrival.

  • 3. Tourist Taxes: Subject to local taxes and sales taxes. In accordance with the law on tourism, the tenant is required to pay a tourist tax per person and per day.

  • 4. Check-in/Check-out

  • Check-in/Check-out: Check-in is from 4:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. Check-out is before 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure. Any departure after the deadline will result in an additional charge. An early departure, late arrival, or non-occupation of days does not entitle the tenant to any discount or partial refund of the rental.

  • 5. Security Deposit: A credit card guarantee of €250 per accommodation is required. Subject to a satisfactory inspection of the accommodation after departure, the deposit will be returned to the tenant.

  • AlpsDiscovery accepts deposits only by credit card or bank transfer. The return will be made to the initial bank account within two weeks or more, depending on the deadlines of the tenant's bank. In the event of damage, if the cost of such damage exceeds the amount of the security deposit, the difference will also be charged to the credit card used for the reservation.

  • The tenant agrees to report any damage to the agency no later than 24 hours after arrival. The tenant is responsible for all damage caused, theft, infringements, non-compliance with the rules during his/her stay.

  • 6. Cleaning: The accommodation must be left clean at the end of the stay. A final cleaning service is included (prices are available at the moment of booking). A departure cleaning fee is applicable to all stays. The tenant can request cleaning at any moment of time, subject to a cleaning fee.

  • 7. Property Rules and Regulations: Parties are forbidden on the property. There are noise restrictions after 22:00 and before 7:00. The tenant agrees to respect the regulations of the building. Smoking is prohibited in the accommodation and common areas unless otherwise indicated. Tenants who do not respect the rules will have to leave the premises. An early departure does not entitle the tenant to any discount or partial refund of the rental.

  • 8. Waste and Parking: The tenant is obligated to comply with the waste and parking requirements.

  • 9. Supplies: The units have a basic supply of toiletries and kitchenware. Renters are responsible for providing all additional supplies necessary for the duration of their stay.

  • 10. Entry to the Apartment by Agency: In an emergency or for various repairs and routine maintenance, the agency reserves the right to enter the apartment without the tenant's consent.

  • 11. Pets Policy: Pets are free of charge; the agency requests information about the pets, their weight, and type. Animals are only accepted in accommodations indicated as accepting animals.

  • 12. Cancellation Policy of AlpsDiscovery

  • 12.1 Cancellation Period: 21 Days or More Before Arrival

  • Policy: All bookings may be canceled without penalty up to and including 21 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.

  • Refund: In such cases, AlpsDiscovery shall refund the full amount paid by the customer.

  • 12.2 Cancellation Period: From 21 Days to 14 Days Before Arrival

  • Policy: If a booking is canceled within the period starting from 21 days until 14 days before the scheduled arrival date, certain penalties shall apply.

  • Refund: In such cases, AlpsDiscovery shall refund 50% of the total amount paid by the customer. The remaining 50% shall be retained by AlpsDiscovery as a cancellation fee.

  • 12.3 Cancellation Period: 14 Days to Date of Arrival

  • Policy: If a booking is canceled within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date, it shall be subject to a full cancellation charge.

  • Refund: In such cases, AlpsDiscovery shall not refund any portion of the amount paid by the customer.

  • 12.4 No-Show Event

  • Policy: In the event of a no-show, AlpsDiscovery shall not refund any portion of the amount paid by the customer.

  • 12.5 Notification of Cancellation

  • Procedure: All cancellations must be made through the designated cancellation process on the AlpsDiscovery website or through other authorized channels like mail or WhatsApp messaging system, confirming cancellation demand and its reception by AlpsDiscovery.

  • Confirmation: Upon successful cancellation, the customer shall receive a confirmation notice from AlpsDiscovery, detailing the applicable refund, if any.

  • Special Conditions: Applied in cases related to Covid or other specified reasons.

  • 13. Retention of Right to Change Offering AlpsDiscovery reserves the right to modify or discontinue any product or service at any time without prior notice. In this case, AlpsDiscovery will proceed with a full refund of the bookings made via the AlpsDiscovery website. For other booking channels (Online Travel Agencies - OTA), corresponding rules and terms apply as per OTA terms and conditions.

  • 14. Warranties & Responsibility for Services and Products We strive to provide accurate descriptions and high-quality services. However, we do not guarantee that all information is error-free or that services will be uninterrupted.

  • 15. Right to Suspend or Cancel Member Account We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms or any unlawful activity.

  • 16. Ownership of Intellectual Property, Copyrights, and Logos All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of AlpsDiscovery or relative owners and protected by Swiss and international copyright laws.

  • 17. Indemnification You agree to indemnify and hold AlpsDiscovery harmless from any claims or damages arising from your use of our services.

  • 18. Limitation of Liability AlpsDiscovery shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our services.

  • In the event of force majeure: natural disasters, climatic upheavals, or any other nuisance due to works, private or public events, no request will give the right to compensation.

  • 19. Right to Change and Modify Terms We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

  • 20. Preference of Law and Dispute Resolution These terms are governed by Swiss law, and any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration in Switzerland.
