“At 15, I decided to become a cheesemaker, following my grandfather’s intuition. I had the chance to work in beautiful dairies in the canton of Friborg where I was able to produce Gruyère AOP and Vacherin Fribourgeois AOP, my two favorite cheeses. I then earned the title of Master Cheesemaker at the age of 25 while keeping in the back of my mind a desire to do business, a virus transmitted by my father. To this day, I am still very grateful to him for that.
In 2001, I took over Laiterie Moderne to specialize in the production of fondues, ready to take on new challenges.
Today, happy father of a young daughter, I live as a couple with Marilyn in Pâquier, in Gruyère.
